Mount Kinabalu (Malaysia: Gunung Kinabalu) is a prominent mountain on the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. It is in the east Malaysian state of Sabah, located and is considered to Kinabalu National Park, a world cultural heritage protected. Kinabalu is the highest peak in Borneo Crocker Range and is the fourth highest mountain in the Malay Archipelago to Papua Puncak Jaya, Puncak Trikora and Puncak Mandala. Mount Kinabalu is also the 20th highest mountain in the world by topographical importance.
